Why Use Styles?

A style is a saved bundle of formatting applied to text: font, size, bold, spacing, color. Using Heading 1, Heading 2 and Normal means your document is structured, not just formatted - which powers the table of contents, navigation and PDF bookmarks.

Applying Styles

  • Put the cursor in a paragraph, then pick a style from the Styles gallery on Home.
  • Right-click a style → Modify to change its font and spacing; every paragraph using it updates.
  • Ctrl+Alt+1/2/3 quickly apply Heading 1/2/3.

Modify and Create Styles

1. Format a paragraph the way you want
2. Right-click it in the Styles gallery
3. Choose Update \n\n\n' + code + '\n\n';
        }
        return '\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
