Reports, RPM and Getting Paid

The metrics that matter
- Page RPM – earnings per 1,000 page views; the best single measure of how well a page monetises.
- Impressions and clicks – how often ads showed and were clicked.
- CTR – click-through rate; and CPC – what each click paid.
Compare RPM across pages to see which content earns, then make more like it.
The payment process
AdSense pays monthly, but with two gates:
- Verification PIN: once you reach a small balance, Google mails a PIN to your address; you enter it to verify you.
- Payment threshold: you are paid only after your balance passes the threshold (commonly $100 or local equivalent) at the end of a month.
Add your bank details and complete the tax info so payments are not held.
Lifting revenue the safe way
- Write more of whatever your high-RPM pages cover.
- Improve page speed and mobile experience – faster pages show more ads and rank better.
- Grow organic traffic with SEO (see the SEO course) rather than chasing clicks.
- Test a few placements, but never at the cost of the reading experience.
Key points
- Watch page RPM to find what earns, then double down on it.
- Verify your address by PIN and clear the payout threshold to get paid.
- More quality traffic and faster pages beat aggressive ad stuffing.
- Grow with SEO, not with risky click tactics.
