Turn On Sync

Sign into Chrome with a Google account and enable Sync. Bookmarks, history, open tabs, passwords, addresses and settings travel between devices automatically.

What Syncs and What Does Not

Everything is tied to your account; passwords can optionally use encryption with a standalone passphrase. Local data like incognito sessions and extensions always stay local.

Open Tabs Anywhere

The History > Tabs from other devices lists open tabs across your logged-in devices, so a tablet session continues on the desktop.

Sync and Work

For work accounts, sync follows the profile you signed in. Keep personal and work profiles separate so bookmarks and passwords do not mix.
