Installing and Updating Chrome

Download the Installer

Install Google Chrome from the official Chrome site. The installer downloads the full browser and registers it as a start menu and desktop app.

Windows and macOS

On Windows, Chrome installs per machine; on macOS, drag it to Applications. Both auto-update through Google's updater unless policy disables it.

Keeping It Fresh

Chrome updates in the background via the Update button in the menu. Version checks live under chrome://settings/help.
