They are related but distinct:

• UX (User Experience) is how the whole product works and feels – the flow, the structure, whether it solves the user's problem easily.
• UI (User Interface) is how it looks – the buttons, colours, typography and spacing people actually touch.

A beautiful UI on top of a confusing UX still fails. Great products need both.
