Tabs, Panes and Focus Modes

Tabs

Ctrl+Shift+T opens a new tab with the default profile. The + button or dropdown adds more, and each tab runs its own shell session independently.

Split Panes

Alt+Shift+D splits the pane vertically. Alt+Shift+Minus splits horizontally. Every split keeps running its shell, giving a classic IDE terminal grid.

Resize and Reorder

Drag pane borders to resize; drag tabs to reorder or detach. Panes close with the X or the close command for the active pane.

Focus Mode

Ctrl+Shift+P then "Toggle focus mode" hides title bar and tabs for a distraction-free full-height console. Zoom pane (Ctrl+Shift+Z) focuses a split.

Find in Terminal

Ctrl+Shift+F searches the current buffer, and highlight matches scroll with them - invaluable for long logs.
